If you’re looking for egg tray production equipment featuring high-capacity, low-energy-consumption, stable, and durable, AGICO suggests this 6×8 pulp egg tray production line with a multi-layer metal dryer; it is an ideal choice tailored for medium- to large-scale egg tray manufacturers. It uses waste paper as raw material, turning recycled pulp into high-quality egg trays with high efficiency. The metal tunnel drying system also solves the pain points of traditional drying methods, such as low efficiency, large footprint, and high energy consumption, making it a core egg tray production line for large-scale egg tray production.
Core Advantages of the 6×8 Eggtray Production Line
Compared to other small and super large capacity eggtray production lines, 6×8 eggtray production line has its own advantages. Here are the reasons why most of our customers choose the setting of a 6×8 egg tray-making machine + Multi-Layer Metal Drying System?
The 6×8 egg tray making machine is a popular choice for customers, with a balance of cost-effectiveness and 7000 piec/h production capacity.
6×8 Eggtray Making Machine

- Stable & high production capacity: The 6×8 eggtray machine can produce 7,000 egg trays per hour (production capacity can be adjusted according to the configuration of the drying line). It is made for the daily order needs of medium-capacity egg tray plants and large poultry egg plants.
- High molding precision: AGICO equipped eggtray making machine with the multi-cavity mold, together with the automatic pulp control system, it is featured with uniform pulp distribution, excellent load-bearing capacity, water resistance, and steady dimensional consistency of the egg trays, reducing the defect rate of the egg trays.
- Multi-purpose machine: The eggtray mold can be replaced with other molds; for example, it can also produce a variety of pulp-molded products such as fruit trays, electronic product cushioning trays, and cup holders, making it more flexible to expand the business scope.
Multi-layer Metal Tunnel Dryer
Our multi-layer metal drying equipment is an upgraded drying solution to traditional drying methods. The core design is its multi-layer metal mesh belt dryer, which has the following advantages over brick drying and single mesh belt dryers:

- Space-saving & highly efficient: The vertical stacking design of 4-6 layers of metal mesh belts shortens the drying line length, and it can reduce the factory floor space by more than 50%.
- Uniform drying for stable quality: The segmented temperature control + hot air circulation system can adjust the temperature of each layer, which is preset according to the moisture content of the egg tray (adjustable in the range of 80-120°C) to avoid local over-drying or under-drying. The moisture content of the egg trays is stably controlled below 12% to avoid mold or deformation.
- Lower energy consumption & reduced cost: The insulation layer and circulating hot air design significantly reduce heat loss. Compared with traditional drying rooms, energy consumption can be reduced by 30%-40%. It supports multiple heat sources such as natural gas, biomass, coal, and steam, and is suitable for customers to use different energy types.
- High degree of automation—labor saving: The formed wet egg trays can be directly delivered to the feed port of the dryer, and the entire process is automatically conveyed and dried. There is no need for manual handling of wet trays. Only 1-2 workers can operate 1 whole egg tray production line, which greatly reduces labor costs.
- Durable and easy to maintain: The whole structure of eggtray production equipment is made of rust-proof metal, which is resistant to high temperature and corrosion. It is very simple to replace the mesh belt and clean the equipment, and the service life is longer than a traditional brick-drying structure.
Complete Production Process—Waste Paper to Finished Eggtrays and Cartons
- Pulp preparation: Recycled waste paper is crushed, screened, and pulped by a pulper to produce pulp of uniform concentration. The pulp formula can be adjusted according to needs to optimize egg tray strength.
- Automatic forming: The 6×8 forming host uses vacuum adsorption to evenly attach the pulp to the mold, press it into shape and remove most of the moisture. The wet egg trays are then sent to the dryer via a conveyor line.
- Multi-layer drying: The wet egg trays enter the multi-layer metal dryer and are gradually dried in the hot air circulation at different temperature ranges. After the moisture content is reduced to the standard requirements, they are sent out from the discharge end.
- Autopacking: The dried egg trays can be directly packaged into finished products by using automatic stacking, counting and packaging equipment, which is convenient for warehousing or transportation.
