Current Eggtray Production Line Maintenance
Same as other machinery, eggtray production line maintenance is key for continuous production and preventing machine failures. Current maintenance of egg tray plant can be separated into daily maintenance and regular preventive maintenance. Daily maintenance can be completed by operators and workers every day, and preventive maintenance shall be assigned to technical professionals. Here are the details:
Daily Maintenance of Eggtray Production Line

- Pre-shift inspection: Before starting the machine, check whether all parts of the equipment are intact, whether the fasteners are loose, whether the lubrication is in good condition, and whether the safety devices are effective.
- Monitoring during operation: During the production process, pay attention to whether the equipment has abnormal vibration, abnormal noise, excessive temperature rise or leakage (gas, water, oil) by listening, looking, touching, etc.
- After-shift cleaning and maintenance:
Cleaning: This is the most important maintenance for the egg tray production line. The forming mold, transfer mold and hot pressing mold must be thoroughly cleaned to prevent the pulp from drying and clogging the mesh, affecting demoulding and product quality.
Sewage discharge: Clean the pulp residue in the vacuum pump water tank, gas-liquid separator, etc.
Regular preventive maintenance (PM)
It is planned and performed regularly based on equipment operating hours or production output:
- Regular lubrication: Add or replace appropriate lubricating oil/grease to moving parts such as bearings, guide rails, chains, and screw rods according to the requirements of the equipment manual.
- Regularly replace wearing parts: such as the filter element and seal of the vacuum pump, the hydraulic oil and filter of the hydraulic pulping system, the belt of the transmission system, etc.
- Regular calibration: Calibrate temperature sensors, pressure gauges, etc. to ensure the accuracy of process parameters.
- Regular tightening: Tighten key connection points such as equipment foundation and mold fixing bolts.
Future Trend of Eggtray Machine Maintenance Work

With the deepening of Industry 4.0 and green manufacturing concepts, the maintenance work of pulp molded egg tray equipment is undergoing profound changes. Its development trend mainly revolves around four aspects: intelligence, greenness, efficiency and standardization. They are interrelated and jointly promote the progress of the industry.
- Intelligent Maintenance:
Data-driven intelligent decision-making is currently a core trend. By adding various high-precision sensors (such as temperature, humidity, pressure, and displacement), equipment can achieve millisecond-level data collection, laying a solid foundation for predictive maintenance. Based on this big data, AI algorithms can accurately predict component wear and failure risks, transforming “reactive maintenance” into “proactive intervention” and significantly reducing unplanned downtime. Furthermore, the Internet of Things (IoT) technology enables remote monitoring and diagnosis of equipment. Maintenance personnel can monitor equipment status in real time through terminals and perform remote processing, significantly improving response speed and processing efficiency. - Green Maintenance:
A 2-pronged approach of energy conservation and recycling greening trend is closely aligned with the theme of sustainable development. Regarding energy conservation, the use of high-efficiency components such as magnetic levitation turbine vacuum pumps, combined with variable frequency technology to optimize the energy management system, effectively reduces equipment energy consumption. Regarding resource recycling, by increasing the recycling rate of production scraps and recovering waste heat from drying exhaust gases for heating or production, we achieve a closed-loop resource utilization and reduce waste. - Efficient Maintenance:
Optimizing processes and reducing time consumption Efficiency aims to maximize equipment utilization. Advances in quick mold change and automated cleaning technologies have significantly shortened production setup time. Furthermore, the maintenance process itself has been optimized through information technology. For example, the introduction of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) automates maintenance planning, task allocation, and record retrieval, improving the overall efficiency and accuracy of maintenance work. - Standardization and Regularization:
Establishing industry benchmarks and standards is the foundation for the scalable implementation of all other trends. Promoting the development of industry standards for vacuum system energy efficiency grading and mold permeability testing, and establishing a shared database for companies to benchmark against, will help standardize maintenance processes and elevate the overall industry standard. Furthermore, establishing a standardized training system for maintenance personnel to ensure their skills keep pace with technological advancements is key to ensuring the quality of maintenance work.
Pulp molded egg tray equipment maintenance is shifting from a traditional, passive, auxiliary role to a proactive, value-creating one. The integration of intelligence, greenness, efficiency, and standardization is driving the entire industry toward a more reliable, economical, and sustainable future.
